Susi T and Tom H brushing up on ‘Make a Man of You

Martin – This week we had our first rehearsal of ‘Make a Man of You’ with our choreographer. During this song the female members of the cast have to use their feminine charms to help recruit the men into the army. I think some of the MTS ladies were enjoying the chance to show their flirtatious side. I think this is going to be a very fun number to perform!

Liz – I had my first run-through of ‘Sister Susie…’ with the Musical Director this week. This is the first time I have had a solo song since joining MTS and it is a bit of a tongue-twister so I was a bit apprehensive. However after a few run-throughs one-on-one with the piano I’m feeling confident I will be able to get it down.

Week Commencing 23/06…. 6 weeks to go!

Personal costume drawings!
Personal costume drawings!

Martin – The cast were treated to an impressive presentation this week as the set and costume designers shared their plans with us. This included a 3D model of the stage and personal drawings of each cast member’s costume. It was very exciting to see the amount of work that has been put in already and I’m really looking forward to seeing the final results.

Learning lines for the Pankhurst scene

Liz – As there are only 6 weeks to go until show week I am busy trying to learn my lines. This evening was spent in front of the TV looking over my script.
